Surgical Technologist - CVOR / Neurosurgery Experience Required

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist with CVOR and Neurosurgery experience to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, while maintaining aseptic techniques and providing comfort throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards.
• Assist in maintaining a sterile field and monitor situations that could breach aseptic techniques.
• Transport patients to and from the operating room suite and position them according to the type of surgery.
• Prepare the operating room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies based on the type of case.
• Establish and maintain the sterile field, passing instruments and sutures to the physician as directed.
• Work effectively as a member of the surgical team and implement technical and aseptic practices.
• Demonstrate expertise in the use and care of all surgical supplies and equipment.
• Adapt patient care responsibilities to meet the unique needs of each patient served.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery, with strong CVOR and neurosurgery experience.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or valid LVN/LPN license required.
• BLS certification (AHA only) is required.
