Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery provides comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and nursery care for newborns. This role requires collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure the highest standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and manage care for labor and delivery patients.
• Provide support during labor and delivery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and assist in various procedures including cesarean sections and inductions.
• Conduct postpartum care and couplet care, attending to both mother and newborn.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and manage interventions as needed.
• Educate new parents on care practices and postpartum recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing.
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS certifications.
• Experience with intermediate or advanced fetal heart monitoring.
• Ability to float to other departments based on patient census and department needs.
