Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Trauma ICU provides optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process. This role involves comprehensive nursing services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families. The position stresses collaboration and coordination of care among other professionals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Provide care for a variety of traumatic injuries, including spinal cord injuries, TBI, and surgical patients.
• Maintain a patient-centered environment while ensuring standards of quality care are met.
• Monitor and adjust patient care as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Educate and collaborate with patients' families and caregivers to support patient care efforts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Trauma ICU required.
• Current NV RN license required prior to start.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX) required.
• CCRN certification preferred, but not required.
