Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, with floating required between two Med Surg units.

Job Description

The Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide exceptional nursing care in various Med Surg settings, including orthopedic, surgical, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, dialysis, and hospice departments. The nurse will work on a 5th-floor Med Surg unit and a 6th-floor Med Surg/Tele unit, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to medical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to a diverse patient population in Med Surg settings.
• Manage patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient vitals and report any changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as per EMR standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Active RN license (state-specific licensure as required).
