Schedule

4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotating days off. Includes 1 night of call during the week and 1 weekend call from Saturday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM every 4th weekend.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for producing optimal diagnostic images while ensuring excellent patient care in the Diagnostic Interventional Department. The role involves competency in operating Interventional imaging equipment, verifying and executing physician orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams, and maintaining patient safety during procedures. The technologist will assist as the first in command to Interventional Cardiologists, Vascular Surgeons, or Interventional Radiologists, set up sterile trays, and ensure room sterility.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiology services to patients of all ages including Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients.
• Operate interventional imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure proper preparation and safety of patients during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Perform as a first assistant in interventional procedures, including sterile setup and maintaining room sterility.
• Regulate patient flow and consult with radiologists on contrast media applications.
• Evaluate and improve image quality through continual assessment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience required.
• AHA, BLS, and ACLS certifications are required.
• Must possess American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T. (R) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
• Hold a State of Nevada Radiation Control Program License.
