Saturday to Monday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Job Description

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the guidance of a physician and department supervisor. You will specialize in various areas such as Cardiac, Vascular, or General ultrasound, adhering to protocols for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of various diseases. Your role will include executing care standards, physician orders, and advanced imaging skills to ensure improved patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols.
• Operate sophisticated ultrasonic imaging units and reading/reporting systems.
• Review images for identification, technique, and completeness based on governing body standards.
• Function as a role model and professional resource for patients and colleagues.
• Provide training to new staff and ultrasound students, and participate in educational sessions.
• Engage in departmental maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in the relevant department.
• Licenses: ARMDS and RDMS required.
• CPR certification upon hire; AHA BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Travelers may be required to float according to organizational needs.
• Must be able to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.
