Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care, providing comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals in a Medical ICU setting.
• Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Monitor and document patient progress, and employ nursing interventions to address health issues.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and changes in treatment.
• Ensure adherence to age-specific competency standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU experience required.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
