Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation

Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role includes planning and implementing ongoing therapeutic programs as prescribed by the ordering physician and managing a full caseload effectively. This position will require the therapist to regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs, while also being knowledgeable about re-evaluation requirements based on insurance authorization. Flexibility to work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays is necessary based on hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients as per treatment protocol.
• Develop and implement comprehensive physical therapy programs.
• Manage a full caseload independently, ensuring timely updates to treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and contribute to patient care discussions.
• Utilize EMR, specifically Net Health Therapy and Meditech, for documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in outpatient and acute settings.
• Active Hawaii Physical Therapist License is required by the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross is required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
