Physical Therapist Assistant - Home Health

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in delivering home health and hospice services that enrich the lives of the patients we serve. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist, providing essential physical therapy services in accordance with patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to patients as prescribed by physicians after evaluations by a registered Physical Therapist.
• Implement treatment plans designed to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain optimal performance.
• Assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize various physical therapy equipment and modalities.
• Observe, document, and report patient reactions to treatment and any changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on self-care techniques and rehabilitation activities.
• Complete accurate clinical notes and documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Vermont and New Hampshire or hold a compact license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• One year of experience as a PTA in a home health care setting is preferred.

Schedule

This is a day shift position offering a full-time schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
