Physical Therapist

Schedule

This position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, with 2-3 weekend days as required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and coordinating rehabilitation services in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and amend patient visit schedules to optimize productivity and address patient needs.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, including psychosocial, educational, safety, and risk factors.
• Develop individualized plans of care aimed at enhancing patient independence and safety.
• Deliver skilled physical therapy treatments and assess patient status to ensure quality care.
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and rehab services.
• Supervise and direct the activities of PT assistants and students as needed.
• Complete required paperwork to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with guidelines.
• Participate in in-service training programs for healthcare staff and community groups.
• Engage in marketing and promotion of rehabilitation services and specialized areas of service.
• Conduct various patient assessments and procedures to ensure comprehensive care.
• Communicate promptly about patient schedule changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate and ensure safe patient discharges and transfers with proper documentation.
• Participate in peer review audits and accept constructive feedback professionally.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidates must possess a valid Physical Therapist license in accordance with state regulations and have relevant experience in a clinical setting.
