Radiology Technologist - Nights

This position is for the night shift, from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Job Description

Radiology Technologists perform a variety of imaging procedures, including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, and Surgery, while being responsible for patient safety protocols. Our Radiology Techs serve as the first point of contact with patients to successfully meet their imaging needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional image by adhering to the established dress code.
• Maximize job potential by attending all mandatory education and in-service programs.
• Maintain punctuality to work and assignments in accordance with hospital and department standards.
• Comply with all hospital confidentiality and HIPAA requirements regarding medical records and patient conditions.
• Accurately maintain Medical Imaging patient medical records, including Radiology and Vascular reports.
• Ensure proper identification and review of patient requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnoses.
• Assess patient conditions and ensure safety through the proper use of restraint and support devices.
• Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification on images.
• Document patient information accurately in the computer system according to established protocols.
• Provide critical care first, organizing patient care and setting priorities based on physician orders.
• Participate in the training and orientation of new employees.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited/approved school of radiology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid Illinois Radiology license.
• CPR/AED certification; CT certification is welcomed but not required.
