Radiology Technologist

Job Description

Radiology Technologists perform various imaging procedures, including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, and Surgery, while ensuring patient safety protocols are followed. As the first line interface with patients, our Radiology Techs are crucial to successfully meeting their imaging needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional image by adhering to the established dress code.
• Maximize job potential through mandatory education and in-service programs.
• Maintain punctuality to work and assignments according to department standards.
• Comply with hospital confidentiality and HIPAA requirements for medical records.
• Accurately maintain Medical Imaging patient medical records, including Radiology, Vascular, and Echo Lab.
• File and distribute Radiology reports according to department protocol in the absence of office personnel.
• Perform office-related duties in the absence of office staff.
• Identify each patient and review requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnosis and demographics.
• Record pertinent data on radiologic requisitions at all times.
• Assess patient conditions and ensure safety through proper use of restraint/support devices.
• Review examinations for technical accuracy and communicate pertinent data post-procedure.
• Ensure proper film identification on all images and maintain accurate documentation in the computer system.
• Organize patient care by prioritizing critical cases and implementing physician’s orders.
• Participate in the training and orientation of new employees.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited/approved school of radiology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid state Radiology license.
• CPR/AED and CT certifications are welcomed but not required.

Schedule

This position involves 10-hour shifts, with flexibility available.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
