Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Night/Day Shift (Varies and Potential to Rotate), 12-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Acute Care CNA provides nursing care for patients during a specific work period in a structured care setting. The CNA functions in defined geographic and/or situational environments where policies and procedures for health care provision are established. This role requires knowledge relative to the age of patients served. Under the supervision of professional nursing staff, the CNA administers nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential nursing care to patients as directed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and monitor patient vitals.
• Maintain a safe and compassionate environment for patient care.
• Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Experience in an acute care or Med/Surg environment is preferred.
