Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient & Inpatient

Day shift, 4x8-Hour (07:00 - 19:00), 32 hours per week.

Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide essential physical therapy services in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including swing bed, observation, and extended recovery care. The PTA will collaborate with the Therapy Director to ensure optimal patient care while managing additional responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans and executing therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Conduct patient evaluations and document progress according to facility protocols.
• Provide support across various patient care settings as needed, including floating to answer phones or assisting in One Day Surgery.
• Ensure compliance with safety and care standards in line with regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 5 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Current Missouri Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS and CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Availability for weekend coverage once a month and specific coverage on 9/5, 10/10, and 11/14.
