Registered Nurse - Complex Neuro and Cardiac Specialty

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a Day 4x10-Hour shift schedule (07:00 - 17:30). Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in a complex neuro and cardiac setting. This position involves direct patient care with a focus on assessments, evaluations, treatment plans, and therapeutic interventions for patients with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurologic and cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Perform evaluations and document findings in the electronic medical record (Epic).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care coordination.
• Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a complex neuro and cardiac setting.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• Experience with patient populations including but not limited to COPD, CHF, and post-operative cardiac care.
• Previous experience with trauma level II preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
