X-Ray Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x10 hours (11:00 PM - 9:30 AM), Monday through Thursday.

Job Description

The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating patients at the facility. The technician will adhere to safety protocols and maintain high-quality imaging standards while providing care to patients of various age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiographic procedures following established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety by following radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
• Administer contrast media as needed during specific procedures.
• Maintain equipment functionality and report any malfunctions.
• Document patient data accurately and maintain compliance with charting protocols (Epic).
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technician preferred.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• State licensure for Oregon required.
• Experience with the Epic electronic medical record system preferred.
• Ability to perform various imaging techniques, including but not limited to abdomen decubitus, KUB, and fluoroscopy studies.
