Speech Language Pathologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, typically 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, four days per week. Shorter days for five days per week may also be considered.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services to pediatric patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role involves working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality care and improve communication and swallowing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assess communicative, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to address patient needs.
• Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions and document patient progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Speech Language Pathology.
• ASHA Certification and South Carolina State Licensure required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience with pediatric outpatient settings is preferred.
