DEXA Technologist - Bone Density Exam

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule from 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified DEXA Technologist with current experience in bone density exams. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in conducting DEXA scans and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This position involves working in a supportive and collaborative environment where patient-centered care is a priority.

Responsibilities

• Perform bone density exams utilizing current DEXA technology.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and comfort during procedures.
• Maintain safe and clean working conditions, adhering to infection prevention protocols.
• Actively engage in patient education regarding the procedure and results.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with specialization in Bone Densitometry preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of current and proficient bone density exam experience.
• Knowledge of and compliance with radiation safety protocols.
