PET Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Will work 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts, with varying start times between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and ending times between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Weekend coverage may be required.

Job Description

The PET Technologist will perform PETCT scans, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. Technologists are expected to provide care following established protocols and standards, while effectively addressing any patient needs throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PETCT scans for diagnostic purposes.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
• Read and interpret images accurately to support diagnosis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a PET Technologist preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB) or Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• State license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Radiation badge required, provided by agency.
