The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, with rotation for one day of weekend coverage.

Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders for patients. The therapist will develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapeutic interventions to enhance communication and swallowing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients with speech and language disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Provide therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and plan modifications as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Applicants must possess a valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist and preferably have experience in an acute rehabilitation unit setting. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Cerner and NetHealth is a plus.
