AM Shift: 08:00 – 16:30, 5 × 8 hr shifts for a total of 40 hrs/week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing a wide variety of nuclear medicine and/or PET (Photon Emission Tomography) procedures. These procedures include whole body imaging for oncology, nuclear cardiology, clinical imaging, GI imaging, thyroid imaging, and SPECT imaging. The technologist will administer radiopharmaceuticals as required for imaging, conduct pharmaceutical and instrument quality control, and maintain records for state and federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals according to imaging requirements.
• Conduct quality control checks on pharmaceuticals and instruments.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience required.
• Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is necessary.
• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology or Nuclear Medicine program.
