Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various cardiothoracic procedures and be proficient in managing complex patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer care to patients undergoing various cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve replacement, and transplant procedures.
• Monitor and manage patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, and transplant complications.
• Utilize EPIC Charting System for patient documentation and data management.
• Float to ICU as needed, providing high-level care and support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State RN Licensure and active certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiothoracic surgical setting.
• Hands-on experience with HeartMate 3, CABG, and transplant procedures for heart and lungs.
• Experience managing arrythmias and understanding complex medication regimens for heart failure and transplantation.
