Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Inpatient Rehab

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Possibly one weekend per month.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide evaluations and treatment plans for patients in an inpatient rehab setting, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to established protocols. The SLP will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to define and implement appropriate therapy interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech and language disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Implement therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing functions.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current South Carolina state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• BLS certification.
• Preferred at least one year of experience working in an inpatient rehab setting.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
