MRI Technologist

This is a 5x8-hour contract position with a shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Job Description

As an MRI Technologist, you will utilize advanced GE technology to perform a variety of MRI examinations. Your role will involve working with both adult and pediatric patients in diverse settings, including emergency, trauma, inpatient, and outpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures with a focus on neurological, musculoskeletal, vascular, cardiac, fetal, and prostate imaging.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI examinations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records and documentation in Cerner PowerChart.
• Explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and families.
• Administer contrast media as required.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed, approximately every third week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ARRT (MR) certification is preferred.
• ARRT (R) and New Jersey State licensure in Radiologic Technology are also preferred.
• Experience with advanced imaging techniques including gradient echo imaging, multiplanar reconstruction, and various MRI modalities.
