CT Technologist - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Friday - Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST, including holidays, on call, and callbacks as per unit needs (2-3 call shifts per month).

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role includes responsibilities such as performing scans and documenting all necessary components accurately.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and verify exam details prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide quality diagnostic imaging services.
• Prepare patients for CT scans and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients safely for procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly after exams.
• Ensure a clean and safe scanning environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NYS CT Tech license and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Injection therapy certification preferred (to be completed during orientation).
• Experience with Siemens and Philips CT equipment is preferred.
