Imaging Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x9.5 hours (07:30 - 17:00), Monday to Friday. No weekends or call requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Imaging Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment within a specialized imaging unit. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Interventional Radiologist and a multidisciplinary team throughout the procedural continuum, focusing on patient safety, comfort, and clinical assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough preprocedural assessments and patient education.
• Monitor and manage patient status during procedures, including vital signs and hemodynamic stability.
• Provide postprocedural care, including recovery monitoring and discharge instructions.
• Administer moderate sedation and other medications per protocol.
• Utilize clinical judgment to identify complications and initiate emergency protocols as necessary.
• Rotate through various imaging suites, providing procedural based care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS; PALS preferred.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required; exemptions may apply.
