Registered Nurse - Trauma ICU

This position requires a 3x12-hour schedule, working days from 07:00 to 19:00.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Trauma ICU is a Level I Trauma unit where you will provide critical care to patients in a high-acuity environment. You will be responsible for collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for ventilated patients and administer blood products.
• Perform central line care and monitor intracranial pressure (ICP).
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Start and maintain IVs as required.
• Work collaboratively within the trauma team and support interdisciplinary efforts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred, particularly in a Trauma ICU setting.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.

Patient Care Details

• Patient ratios are 1:2 during day shifts.
• The unit typically has a daily census of 14 patients and consists of 14 rooms and 16 beds.
