Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Telestrategy - 13-Week Contract

Job Description

Join our dedicated team in a fast-paced Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit. Your role will encompass receiving admitted patients from the Emergency Department, completing Admission Assessments, Medication Reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders. We prioritize patient safety and care, ensuring a streamlined process that enhances patient experience and reduces overall length of stay.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care with a ratio of 1:5 for Step-Down, 1:6 for MedSurg, and 1:5 if combined day and night.
• Assist with admission assessments and medication reconciliation.
• Collaborate with a team focused on ED decompression and enhanced throughput.
• Float to other units as needed within your skill set.
• Engage in minimal bedside procedures due to the environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Positive attitude and focus on teamwork required.
