Pathology Assistant

Job Description

This position may work at one of three gross room locations: Main Ruby, Children's, or Innovation Corp. The start time may vary between 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Dayshift with start time of 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM. No weekend or holiday requirements. No call or standby call requirement.

Responsibilities

• Ability to gross simple and complex tissue specimens.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ASCP Certification as Pathologists' Assistant required.
• Completion of Pathologists' Assistant program preferred.
• 1 year of experience in an academic medical center preferred.
• Experience with Epic Beaker AP and voice recognition program preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• BLS is not required.
