Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Night shift, 7 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 days per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care through effective nursing care plans. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, creating individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to the diagnosis of each patient.
• Communicate patient information effectively during initial and re-evaluation team conferences.
• Utilize the nursing process for direct patient care, focusing on patient education.
• Initiate discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies.
• Engage in team building activities to promote a positive work environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of ICU experience is highly desired.
