Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) shifts available.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to maternal and neonatal health.

Responsibilities

• Administer care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, responding to any abnormalities.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Educate families on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
• Implement and support breastfeeding initiatives and infant care protocols.
• Document patient information accurately using the Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license in Pennsylvania or a Compact license.
• Two years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• Current certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP.
• Experience with Cerner charting system required.
• Flu vaccine required - exemptions permitted for medical or religious reasons.
