Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position requires expertise in advanced respiratory procedures and critical care management.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy and management of ventilators, including BiPAP and high flow oxygen.
• Perform blood gas analysis and in-house patient transports.
• Respond to code situations and provide necessary emergency intervention.
• Manage medication administration and ensure proper protocol adherence.
• Provide chest physiotherapy as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in respiratory care with required PICU/NICU background.
• Current New Jersey state license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certifications required.
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) are required but can be obtained onsite.
