Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will assist the Physical Therapist in executing treatment goals and interventions while promoting patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will embrace the core values of delivering superior quality care and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, and balance exercises.
• Train patients in locomotion with assistive devices.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient progress and response to treatments comprehensively.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the treatment area and equipment.
• Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure as required.
