Registered Nurse - Long Term Care

Mid 5x8-Hour shifts from 14:00 to 22:00. Weekend coverage every other week is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 42-bed long-term care unit, accepting first-time travelers. The unit caters to adults and geriatrics, with patient diagnoses including Dementia, Arthritis, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA).

Responsibilities

• Management of 21 patients during day shifts and 42 patients during night shifts.
• Assisting with patient admissions, ambulation, and daily living activities.
• Administering medications including antianxiety, antidepressants, and antihypertensives.
• Monitoring vital signs and managing behaviors related to anxiety disorders and mood disorders.
• Providing education and support to patients and families.
• Specialized procedure management including BiPAP/CPAP and feeding tube care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Registered Nursing license in New York is mandatory, with the license in hand at the time of submission.
• EPIC charting system experience is a hard requirement.
• Candidates must float as required by facility needs.
