6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, no call, assist with holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Step-Down/Telemetry unit. This fast-paced environment prioritizes efficient patient throughput and safe care. Your primary focus will be on providing critical patient care, including admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and the initiation of acute care orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with diverse diagnoses in a step-down and telemetry environment.
• Assist in ED decompression and manage direct admits effectively.
• Facilitate patient admission assessments and medication reconciliation.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient throughput and experience.
• Utilize Baxter IV pumps and ensure proper monitoring of telemetry patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down level experience preferred.
• Must have BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork is essential.
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider is appreciated.
