ER Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (07:00 - 19:30) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in an emergency room setting.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
• Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, administer IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Care for stroke (CVA) patients and ventilated patients.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Follow isolation precautions and perform triage as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience with at least 2 years of recent ER experience required.
• Active state nursing license required (NY or compact).
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• No disciplinary issues (hits) on nursing license.
