Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Inpatient Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts with flexibility required. Weekends as needed, no call.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide care in various inpatient settings, including NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, as well as Adult and Pediatric general units. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching hospital environments and must be able to demonstrate flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and evaluate patient responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment.
• Provide education to patients and families about respiratory health and management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RRT certification; CRT will not be accepted.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Prior travel experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR within the past 2 years is nonnegotiable.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Detailed documentation of all specialties worked must accompany employment history.
