Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will deliver superior quality care while adhering to the company’s core values. Responsibilities include assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment goals and programs, promoting patient and employee safety, and ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in therapeutic interventions aimed at meeting long-term patient goals.
• Train patients in locomotion using various assistive devices and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities in accordance with treatment plans.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and make necessary interventions.
• Document patient progress and educate patients and families on care plans.
• Maintain a clean treatment area and comply with infection control protocols.
• Participate in team conferences and collaborate with other healthcare disciplines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• CAPTE Certification.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Active and applicable state license.
