12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Description

The Emergency Department at a level 2 trauma center is seeking dedicated registered nurses to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assessing and managing a variety of patient cases, including trauma, chest pain, stroke, and psychiatric emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Department with a ratio of 1:6.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with patient assessments and triage in alignment with department protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including EM Board Certified Physicians.
• Participate in departmental activities and maintain compliance with health regulations.
• Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC and PALS preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required; no declination forms accepted.
