Radiologic Technologist (CT/Radiology)

Shifts will be Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for reviewing patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures and equipment, and ensuring their understanding and cooperation. The role includes preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications, monitoring patient conditions continuously, and reporting/responding to changes in status as appropriate. The technologist will also prepare equipment and supplies, implement safety standards, troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, position patients, and perform imaging procedures. Analyzing results and ensuring quality of imaging results is critical, as well as taking appropriate actions to resolve any image quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes in status.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
• Implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze imaging results and identify quality issues.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Radiology & CT.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (RD) & Computed Tomography (CT).
• Current Florida CT/Radiologic Technologist license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology; completion of CT technology certificate program preferred.
• Ability to float between X-ray and CT departments as needed.
