Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in cardiac care, demonstrating expertise in managing cardiac drips and responding to critical patient needs in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Utilize EPIC software for patient management and documentation.
• Float to similar unit areas as required to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a PCU RN in a busy level 1 Trauma facility.
• Current New Jersey RN License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• Experience in administering cardiac drips is essential.

Schedule

The position requires availability for 36 hours per week on night shifts, specifically every other weekend.
