Registered Nurse - High-Risk Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our high-risk Labor and Delivery team. This role requires expertise in high acuity and fast-paced environments, focusing on patient care during labor and delivery processes. The RN will fulfill the role of Baby Nurse during deliveries and provide comprehensive care to newborns.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist in high-risk deliveries.
• Provide newborn care, including administering eye care and Vitamin K injections.
• Conduct assessments for newborns and support breastfeeding and lactation needs.
• Monitor and manage the health of both mothers and infants in the labor and delivery setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with at least 2 years in a high-risk environment preferred.
• Current RN license, compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Required certifications include BLS and NRP.
• Preferred certifications include ACLS and AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate.
• Supervisory references required.
