Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Days

Job Description

Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations. Communication treatment plans may include techniques that not only help the individual to be better understood, but also to help them better understand others. This position leads, guides, and directs the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate care and services to residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Assess and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide therapy aimed at improving swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and rehabilitation techniques.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Required
• Current Texas license or compact license - Required

Schedule

This position requires an 8-hour day shift, working 40 hours a week.
