Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse

This position offers a 5-day workweek, with shifts of 8 hours each day.

Job Description

The Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse will provide compassionate and quality care to patients undergoing various types of infusion therapy. This role requires expertise in managing patients' needs in a fast-paced outpatient setting, specifically focusing on oncology, neuro, anemia, and GI diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other infusion therapies to adult and geriatric patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and response to treatment, adjusting care as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Utilize technology and equipment such as EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, and glucometers.
• Manage blood product administration among other infusion-related responsibilities.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient infusion.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and Chemotherapy.
• Chemo certification is required for this role.
