Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed).

Job Description

The role involves working in the Emergency Department, providing care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Nurses will engage in various medical situations that include but are not limited to strokes, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarctions, cardiac arrests, and respiratory failures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assess and document patients' medical histories and vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to execute patient care plans.
• Utilize specialty equipment, including Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun.
• Float to various departments as required by staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with PEDS experience.
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are required to be in hand.
• Active New York RN license, along with any other RN licenses held.
• NURSYS report for license verification is required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is necessary.
