This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 10 hours/day, 4 days/week from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Scheduled days off will be determined based on departmental needs, with special requests considered where possible. There may be a requirement for occasional late shifts.

Job Description

The Ambulatory OR Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced perioperative environment. The role involves prepping patients for surgery and monitoring them during the recovery phase. This position requires collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients prior to surgery by reviewing medical history, reconciling medications, obtaining vital signs, starting IVs, and administering premedications.
• Monitors patients’ vital signs during the post-anesthesia care phase and provides discharge instructions as needed.
• Works closely with surgical teams to ensure effective and safe patient care.
• Handles patients undergoing a variety of surgeries, including Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, and Gastrointestinal procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in relevant specialties such as Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Surgical Oncology, and Robotics.
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Radiation badge to be provided by the parent company.
