Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Day shift; 5 days a week.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities. This role also includes serving as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while maintaining compliance with the organization's Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address all barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently based on patient care needs.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Participate in student program assignments, providing supervision and developing learning objectives.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education requirements.
• Actively participate in patient and professional advocacy efforts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid, current State license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient hospital experience.
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
