Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Contract)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts) with no call required. 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period are required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. This role involves providing exceptional care to obstetrical patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the health and well-being of both mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal health before, during, and after delivery.
• Assist in delivering babies, including performing emergency procedures as necessary.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on prenatal and postnatal care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state.
• At least 3 years of experience in High-Risk Obstetrics.
• Current certification in Advanced EFM, AWHONN Intermediate EFM, ACLS, NRP, and BLS.
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Experience with massive transfusion protocols and placenta accreta spectrum disorders preferred.
