Registered Nurse - Clinical Decision Unit

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Clinical Decision Unit. This fast-paced unit focuses on receiving admitted patients from the Emergency Department (ED), ensuring comprehensive admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and a strong commitment to teamwork, as well as experience in ED decompression and patient throughput.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission assessments and documentation.
• Perform medication reconciliation for incoming patients.
• Initiate acute care orders in a timely manner.
• Provide nursing care with a patient ratio of 1:5 in Step-Down care and 1:6 in Med-Surg.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care and experience.
• Float to other units as needed within your skill set.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
