LPN/LVN Critical Care Step Down

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced LPN/LVN for a critical care step down unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients in a step-down setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a critical care step down/PCU environment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and health status, reporting any changes to the RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring.
• Participate in patient assessments and education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of recent critical care step down/PCU experience required.
• Active LPN License required at time of submission.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Comfort with high-flow oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, and post-procedural monitoring preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
